Aufgaben

  • Define and implement a tailored PA strategy for space technology maturation programs, ensuring alignment with ECSS standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Derive, tailor, and manage PA, MMPP, and EEE requirements, ensuring traceability to system-level objectives and regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead PA activities across the product lifecycle from concept design to early testing, including the definition of quality gates and key assurance milestones and participation in validation & verification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and non-conformance reviews to ensure quality risks are captured early and properly mitigated.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, failure investigations, and reviews to ensure both internal and external quality requirements are met.
  • Support the definition and application of quality assurance processes for hardware components (EEE, MMPP), including procurement, assembly, inspection, and verification.
  • Prepare and maintain PA documentation: PA plans, compliance matrices, verification plans, procedures and processes, NCRs, risk registers, and lessons learned.

Profil

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, industrialization engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Product Assurance and/or Quality Assurance ideally in the space or aerospace sector
  • Solid knowledge of ECSS and other aerospace industry PA standards. Knowledge of QM standards, e.g., ISO9001 or DIN EN 9100, is a plus.
  • Technical background in one or more PA disciplines – RAMS, MMPP, EEE, Software.
  • Experience with processes and requirements and in managing quality aspects of technology demonstrator programs.
  • Experience auditing or qualifying suppliers in the space or high-reliability industry.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage with customers, suppliers, space agencies, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable taking on responsibility and ownership.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.

The minimum gross salary for this position is € 3.284,86 per month (based on full-time employment) in accordance with the collective agreement. However, there is a willingness to offer a higher salary depending on experience and qualifications.
